Welcome to

Yatton Local History Society

Would you like to know more about the village of Yatton, North Somerset, how the village began and why it developed over the years to become what it is today?

How has the village grown over the years, from a long thin line of farms down the High Street?  Who were the original landowners and who then bought their land?  What trades were in the village, and which ones exist today?  And how have the railway’s fortunes waxed and waned?

To find out more, the Society may be able to help.
